One of the biggest differences between the baby boomer generation and the previous one is that they think of traveling more as a necessity instead of just luxury. This means that they will engage in traveling even when money is tight. They also take more vacations and expect things to be available when they are ready for it. In other words, this generation will take a vacation even if they have to charge everything on credit cards and worry about paying for it later. They do things on the spur of the moment instead of planning way in advance and they have very little patients. They want to get where they are going as fast and trouble free as possible.
When baby boomers travel they look for places that offer exotic scenery and interesting sites. They are so use to traveling that it takes a lot more to make them happy than it did the previous generation. They also expect and need all the modern day accommodations to be happy. It is important for them to be relaxed and feel at home while traveling. They prefer to use the Internet or any other source they can find that helps take the hassles out of planning a trip. It must be fast and easy or they just don’t have the time to deal with it.
